What is Bellringing?

Change ringing is the art of ringing church bells hung in the english style. A set or ‘Peal’ of tuned bells are rung by one ringer each, who control the timing of the strikes in mathematical patterns called methods. What sets the english style of bell ringing apart from the rest of the world is that the bells swing around a full circle, allowing them to be controlled to a high degree of precision in the hands of a skilled ringer.
